Do I need planning permission for my garden office?

If you choose a Garden Room or Garden Office  which is below 3m in height, and you are not a listed building or in a special zone, you can fit it anywhere in your rear or side garden without a Planning Application or Building Warrant being required as long as its under 30m2 and doesn’t take up more than 50% of your garden.

Will I be warm enough in the winter?

Yes. The Garden Offices we build are fully insulated so you can enjoy it during every season.

How long does it take to build a Garden Office?

It depends on the projects. Usually we need 4-6 weeks from start to complition. 

Can you fit solar panels?

Yes. 

Can you fit skylights?

Yes. 

Do you offer plumbing services?

Yes. 

Can I have a toilet in my garden office?

Yes. 

Can you install a wood burner?

Yes. 

Do you offer any Groundworks services?

Yes. We can carry out groundworks needed for instalation of you new garden room. 

Can you create custom shape buildings?

Yes can build any shape garden room: square, L-shaped, rectangular...

Can you attach a garden room to the side of a house?

Possibly yes but please give us a call to arrange a site visit so we can discuss your requirements in more detail.

How close to a boundary can you install a garden room?

To avoid Building Regulations: for garden rooms that are over 15m² a 1m gap is required.

Do you offer a plastered finish?

Yes. 

Can I have underfloor heating?

Yes. At Premier Garden Offices we can install underfloor heating.

How secure are the doors and windows?

We use the same door and window units used on houses.

How do I get internet into my garden room?

There is two solutions for the internet connection: Throught the WiFi extender or we can run CAT 6 network cable from the routher in your house to the garden building. 

Is it possible to extend my garden room later?

Yes. We build all garden rooms using timber frame solution. which makes it possible to build extension of your existing garden room.

What type of insulation do you use?

Mixture of Kingspan or Celotex, Rockwool.
